The action on this day was seen as an overwhelming and decisive defeat for the Luftwaffe. ⬅️ As commemoration for the 80th anniversary of the Battle have been postponed this year, take a look back at previous events The Prince and The Duchess have attended to mark the Battle of Britain. As Patron of the Battle of Britain Fighter Association, The Prince has met many veteran airmen, who took part in the battle. To mark the 70th anniversary of the Battle, a series of drawings were commissioned to pay homage to those who served during the pivotal events of 1940.
