Kicking off NYFW yesterday evening, @ジェイソンウー’s S/S 2021 was one of the first and the few in-person fashion shows for the season, live streamed for us all to experience at home. While Wu is no stranger to Fashion Week, this show marks the first presentation of Jason Wu’s contemporary label, compared to his luxury line, Jason Wu Collection, which will hold its own Spring 2021 presentation in February 2021.

Thirty-six special guests sat at least six feet apart, per NYC’s COVID guidelines, in a carefully crafted world of Jason Wu’s imagination. Lush with greenery, Wu’s Tulum-inspired, vacation-ready collection was set in a tropical haven with sand, a wooden boardwalk, and the sound of waves crashing calmly, all on a terrace in the middle of New York City, naturally.
