Firstly, @3234u is a truly magical small business who’s whimsical, sexy, comfortable designs are all made ethically and sustainably with all types of bodies and physical mobilities in mind; who’s stunning intention is to discuss intersectional feminism, mental health and physical disabilities. Which brings me gently and gracefully to the second thing this photo brought up, I remember being so self critical when I was trying to take this photo, being so hard on myself, about the way I look and wether or not i would present well on social media. This can be such a beautiful space for me to make connections and have meaningful dialogue but it can also serve to foster so much compare and despair energy in me, which has been really present lately. I’m not saying this to garner validation or sympathy, I’m not a victim to these feelings, but they do illuminate the places inside of me that still hurt and feel inadequate sometimes. It’s so easy to fall into old stories of unworthiness, when the truth is, my worth and value (as well as yours) is a divine fucking birthright and it’s only ego referenced thinking that makes me believe otherwise.
