We finally crossed into Idaho after a few days of heinous headwinds 🤪 and 505 miles of total riding.   People have asked what was the highlight of the trip and to me it was definitely being away from cell service for long periods of time. Whenever we’d go into town and inevitably get service it would become this stressful event where you feel like you have to catch up with the daily internet noise. Such a beautiful feeling knowing that no-one expects anything from you when you’re off grid... I’m going to miss that! Thanks to all of you guys who’ve sent messages of encouragement along the way, means a lot to me. The end of the ride... #2: the route we took consisted of a lot of gravel roads that @isaacsjohnston meticulously researched & improvised at the same time.  #3: Our typical post dinner reading time. This was a special night as night temps were going to be under 35 degrees and we got a last minute booking at this epic USFS cabin by a lake. #4: On the last day, heading towards our final climb. Headwind: ON. #5: trying to get 5000 calories per day involved some drastic menu options #6: @isaacsjohnston filming sunrise at Twin Lakes, MT. #7: climbing another pass into the Big Hole Valley #8: The winds have finally calmed for our last night on the road.  #9: Typical scene of the Big Hole Valley, what a gem of a place. The entire valley seems to be sub-irrigated and the grass is still green in late August / early sept!  #10: one of my favorite section of roads during the trip near Georgetown Lake.   The film photos of the trip are in @statefilm’s capable hands and I cannot wait to see the first rolls come out..
