Born Marielle Warin in England in 1941, French photographer Sarah Moon began her career as a model in the 1960s before stepping behind the camera and developing her distinctive photographic style under the name Sarah Moon. Ethereal and painterly, Moon’s enduring work has since become a mainstay in the world of fashion imagery, acclaimed for its jewel-saturated tones. “For me, photography is pure fiction,” she has said. @museedartmodernedeparis is spotlighting Moon’s work this month in a show entitled Past Present ✨
