#FBI office of Counterterrorism has been following the infiltration of police departments by white supremacist groups since 2015 and most people believe the active recruitment and inflitrstion began as early as 2009/2010, if not before in more informal ways of infiltration. The same holds true in the prison correctional officer space. When people say defund the police they are not talking about having no departments and individuals charged with providing public safety.
