The other day after I saw grass get cut, I literally saw a snake crawl out of the grass. Growing up in Brooklyn the phrase "cut the grass, see the snakes" was an abstract thing. It hits different now tho. I've never wavered in my love, respect and support of the community I've come from. Never. But this year I saw some of you waver in your support of me and my family. People who stayed silent for years knowing me and my family were being harassed and threatened by white supremacists all of a sudden wanted to tell me how to behave in the face of threats and slander as if they've been supporting me the whole time. People who never checked on me ever while my name and my character were being dragged thru the mud hit me talking about "can I come to Dave Chappelle shows with you" when they see how much fun we've been having this summer. Nah fam. Stay over there. You were silent when the chips were down so stay silent now and don't ask me for no favors. See while y'all were letting the liars win, I was cooking.
