I woke up this morning with such gratitude for the #teachers of this world: The men and women who sit with our #children for more hours in a day than often we do, the #educators who work tirelessly to bring our children up to speed with the ever-changing mandated curriculum, so they pass the tests, climb the ladder, meet the standards or get the scholarships.

The effort our teachers put forth is astounding. But having stood beside the educators of Edward Gonzalez Elementary school for a few years now, I can tell you it is the HEART of the teacher that digs deep, pushing through the mandates, the systems and now even the masks and physical separation to access and inspire the spirit of the child which they know will carry them far beyond their education or lack there of.

Thank you Ms Young, Ms Richesin, Mrs. Hernandez,
Mrs. Martinez, Mrs. Debary, Mr. Gonzales and Mr. Goesling for opening your hearts, your classrooms and your calendars to include me, The Little Apple Tree and my love of children.

And thank you to all the educators out there for holding tight your love of teaching and finding a way, any way to inspire our children. You are impacting future generations through every life you touch.
