Thank you, @juneharrison 😘 At the beginning all he did was eating. Non stop for a few days. I imagine, he started way before we know him) Once what he felt he was stocked with all the nutriens he needed, he hang upside down and wrapped himself into a cocoon. Unfortunately nobody caught the moment... only the result) a little green cylinder with tiny golden sparks on it. For the next 10 days nothing happened. On the day 11 it turned dark and we could see the wings through the wrapping. Then in the next few hours the cocoon became very clear and cracked open. I was lucky to see the moment of it hatching 🤩🦋!!! What a miracle!!! The whole beautiful butterfly was packed inside of the smallest container! And it looked nothing like the caterpillar we used to know) I babysat him for over an hour while all the metamorphic processes finished. The wings needed to dry and stretch, he needed to gain some power . I'm saying "he" because he has little black dots on the wings and the tail typical for a male specie. He was very weak at the begining and could only hang upside down. When he was able to stand upright, we said "Good bye" and left him on the flower of our tomato plant on the balcony. At the end of the day he wasn't there anymore. Yesterday was a very nice and warm day. Hope, he'll make people admire his beauty.
