It's a symbol of the city's resilience. No matter what the angle or the light, the Empire State still dominates the skyline.     These photographs from my book, New York Flying High were shot from a helicopter in 2007, but I think it's now time for a trip to the Empire State's new 102nd floor observatory to document the newcomers to the skyline -- the ungainly pinnacles that have popped up recently vying for tallest building in NYC status. Of these "pencil" buildings swaying above the city streets six are taller than the Empire, but none have its enduring place in the hearts and minds of New Yorkers. #empirestatebuilding #newyorkcity #lovenewyork」8月30日 5時37分 - yamashitaphoto
