I never realized how much this would affect me 😭 I am so grateful I was able to breastfeed her at all. It was something I really really wanted to be able to do. But to be honest I also wanted to give up at 5 months, but I kept going and I’m so glad that I did. I’m very proud of myself and my baby girl. It’s a very hard transition and she’s handled it very well! And although I feel like I’m grieving some sort of loss, to hear her cry for “mama” I’ll take as a gain. 💗 Breastfeeding is physically and mentally overwhelming, but the greatest reward I’ve ever achieved and the most precious thing I will cherish for the rest of my life.
