For his latest sourdough creation, our Resident Bread Baker @maurizio wanted to make use of summer's best ingredient: TOMATOES! Unfortunately for him, the hot New Mexico heat slows the growth of fresh tomatoes, so he turned to his eye to the next best thing: sun-dried tomatoes preserved in olive oil. They bring an intense sweet-tart flavor that subtly permeates the entire loaf, and is only magnified by the addition of the briny kalamata olives.
