クリスティ・ブリンクリーさんのインスタグラム写真 - (クリスティ・ブリンクリーInstagram)「I was awarded this honor from the then Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, @nygovcuomo 🇺🇸 He awarded me after I spoke at the Senate Sub Committee Hearings alerting the general population that live within a 30 mile radius of a nuclear power plant, that if attacked by terrorists, a little known bill called “The Price Anderson Act” would indemnify the government from helping you if you lost your home, business, or health from the ensuing radiation. I was so proud to receive this recognition, but its one I share with every member of our passionate group of activists at The S.T.AR. Foundation. We later gave @nygovcuomo our Environmental Hero Award as he was the first politician to really listen and help us protect the communities that grew up around the 103 reactors across America. I remember my ex @billyjoel helped us as well by coming to preform for our annual event that fabulous night. A quick side note; I have always believed in an individuals ability to affect change. I also believe that it is our responsibility to speak up when we see things that threaten our Democracy, our children, or our environment. So to those who come to my page to tell me “keep your mouth shut and stay in your lane” Well this is my lane, as guarantied by the First Amendment. But I guess you could say my “lane” is more of two way street of mutual respect.
