Showing women of different: races, ethnicities, body shapes & sizes, ages, and women who are bald & beautiful. SI Swimsuit empowers women to own who they are, EXACTLY AS THEY ARE! 💕 They have created such an amazing community of like-minded, badass women, all cheering each other on. And why I am so proud to be back auditioning for year 3! SI Swimsuit has changed my life. I remember in 2018, the 1st time I told someone I was going to audition for @si_swimsearch. I almost whispered it. Waiting for the look of, “Lol she’ll never make it” to spread across their face. That year I received @haleyybaylee’s golden ticket & got to meet the fabulous @mjday. MJ talked about her goals with the magazine & I was so inspired listening to her speak!! Last year, I made top 60 & was lucky enough to hear SI models speak & give advice in a small group discussion. To hear these women talk about real life topics: anxiety, depression, finances & handling online trolls—taught me so much, & made me want to join these amazing women on the pages of SI even more. This year I’m back! Shouting from the rooftops that I am auditioning for the iconic magazine. Full of confidence & love for myself—I no longer care if people think I’ll never make it, because I believe I will! I’m not giving up. I refuse to accept the labels people try to place on women. This month alone I’ve been told “Don’t lift weights, muscles aren’t feminine”; “You’re almost 30, don’t you want to start a family & stop all this?”; “You shouldn’t post such revealing photos, if you don’t want to be treated like a bimbo”; “How much you workout, your stomach & hips aren’t great.” No. NO! This type of discussion about women’s bodies and choices is absolutely insane. I am whoever I want to be. I can do anything I want to do.
