We came to the conclusion that amongst other things we'd like to share our platform in order to create meaningful dialogue and help foster understanding, learning and shared experiences in an authentic way. We invited Henrietta to guest edit three episodes to discuss the topic of race in fashion honestly, from three different industry vantage points, each with a different set of guests.  For @monicaainleydlv and I, this is an opportunity to use our platform to amplify valued industry voices and to help us better understand these themes as we plan to move forward to include such topics in our ongoing programming. We've were taken aback by the overall industry response "often consisting of vague statements and repurposed content" as Henrietta concluded in her op-ed for BOF. We do not want our contribution to be much the same. We aim to bring these longstanding issues to our own listeners in a way that (we hope) will add value to the conversation.  Thank you to these brilliant women, colleagues and friends for coming on the show. It is not their responsibility to educate others, so we could not be more grateful that they were so generous to share their stories. It has helped me enormously confront my own white privilege.
