Last year I traveled to Bolivia and worked with volunteers who were taking action against the fires in Amazonia and the Chiquitania. We worked to protect the indigenous village of Palestina and some neighboring villages which were an 11 hour drive outside of Santa Cruz into the indigenous territories of Amazonia. These young men and women left their homes to go protect their forests and the indigenous communities being threatened. Now some of their voices are being heard during the International Rights of Nature Tribunal, August 17-18, 2020 in Bolivia.
