Yusef Lateef “In A Temple Garden” (1979!) with @dr.stevegadd, Eric Gale, Tom Schuman, Jeremy Wall and Sammy Figueroa. All fretless bass, even when the funk comes in....This was one of so many CTI records done out at Rudy Van Gelder’s studio. We’d get up early in the morning, get picked up by Babe’s Taxi service (out of Ft Lee, New Jersey) and record all day until Babe’s picked us up and took our asses back to NYC, where we’d all go to our nighttime sessions or gigs.
