Then we would turn the corner and see BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO and start screaming cause we knew it was gonna be a movie night and we were gonna be able to sleep on the let out couch(for us a used let out couch was a PORSCHE period). We would run through the aisles and pick the edgiest PG movie we could find(my dad never let us watch rated r movies as kids, that’s why we would watch them over my aunties 😈) my dad would always read the back and actually help us discover how to choose a good movie not based solely off the cover but look at who directed it or wrote it to know the quality we could expect.
