Huge congrats to Mammut Pro athlete @marekholecek and his climbing partner @zdenekhacek for being honored with a Piolet d'Or!

The committee is awarding them for their "significant ascent" of the "UFO Line" on the northwest face of Chamlang (7,321 meters) in spring 2019. A face, that after more than a half dozen attempts became one of the most coveted in the country. "I have kept this goal in my mind for nearly 20 years", said Marek after the climb.
