National Geographic Travelさんのインスタグラム写真 - (National Geographic TravelInstagram)「Photo by @francescolastrucci A few weeks ago, driving along the winding mountain roads of the Apennines to Castelluccio di Norcia in the early hours of the morning, I cleared the last hill right after sunrise. The landscape that opened up before me was surprising: The plateau of Castelluccio di Norcia, in this remote part of Italy's Umbria region, was completely hidden by a thick mist. I didn’t have to wait too long for the early morning rays of the sun to slowly dissolve the mist, revealing fields of poppies and lentils in bloom, the gentle peaks of the Sibillini Mountains, and the medieval village of Castelluccio di Norcia. Part of a national park, the area was impacted by the 2016 earthquake, from which it is still recovering. It is partly sustained by tourism to Sibillini's wonderful sites and routes.
