Today is World Lion Day, and to mark the occasion our carnivore keepers provide Lwazi and Ato with some very special enrichment to help shine a light on the challenges facing their wild cousins 🦁🦁🦁

Lions are now extinct in 27 African countries, with less than 20,000 animals remaining in the wild. Human-wildlife conflict is a leading cause of the decline in wild populations, alongside poaching, the illegal wildlife trade and habitat loss.
