Photo by @acacia.johnson Subsistence cabins dot the tidal wetlands of Cook Inlet, Alaska. The cabins were primarily used by duck hunters before populations declined due to overhunting. I've flown over this area many times during wilderness expeditions by bush plane, and each time, I'm prompted to pause and think about the sustainability of our actions toward the environment. How can we ensure that we do not take more than necessary from the places that sustain us?
