"We need a world that is genuinely accepting of all the things that make us all so individually beautiful," says model, Hanan Ibrahim @iamxanaan, pictured here in image one. Along with powerful female voices of change, Ibrahim lent her words to the August 2020 issue of #VogueAustralia, responding to the #BlackLivesMatter movement and creating a portrait that they feel captures who they are. In handing over to them, they shared their hopes for progress and a shared future.

In image two, musician Miiesha @miieshaofficial is photographed by her own brother Andrew Young near her home on Darumbal country, (Central Queensland). She is another of the voices in the issue. Of this time as a chance for change she says: "That flame that’s been sparked up inside you—keep it alight. Don’t let that flame dampen, and don’t let nobody discourage you."

In image three is artist and choreographer, Amrita Hepi @amrita_moves. "The revolution won’t happen online first, it will happen with the communion of others," she says, here captured by photographer and artist @atongatem who wanted to express strength, resilience and freedom through this portrait.
