It was one project that wasn't like "work" at all, a real pleasure in fact. Really, having grown into something of a fan of the band, and having been such great friends with Jono, the bassist for many many years. Right back to when we were in bands together in Wales (I shot a great many videos for bands in that era too). These factors gave this a personal twist I enjoyed immeasurably. The video was made up of footage shot on two of the bands European tours in 2008. Including shows at Primevera Festival Barcelona, Great Escape festival Brighton, Shepherds Bush Empire (with MGMT), Clwb Ifor Bach Cardiff, and The ICA London. It started out as an exercise for me trying to use the footage to evoke the power and majesty the band put out live. The guys were unaware I was working on it at all. It went so well I decided to let the them see it and they loved it. Hence it's now the official promo.
