Every time I think about the year and this 3-week whirlwind @avpbeach season, it hits me differently. I feel like crying, but all I can do is smile. A full spectrum of emotions are fighting for expression. Humility. Pride. Courage. Fear. Love. Longing. Joy. Sadness. But most of all - GRATITUDE. Simple words of thanks seem so feeble in comparison to the mountain of gratitude sitting in my heart. They hardly give justice to what is deserved. Regardless, I’d like to say thank you. Thank you @avpbeach for working so hard to give us an opportunity to compete. You continue to go above and beyond for this sport and the athletes. I have felt so welcomed into the AVP family, and you’ll never know the strength I found in some of the subtlest words and actions of encouragement. Thank you @annacollier17 for taking me under your wing, and teaching me the game. There are those people that seem to stumble into your life at just the right moment, and Anna is one of those people. A prayer answered. Through all my successes and mistakes, she has remained there for me. I don’t know what I did to deserve her. Last year marks my first season on the beach, but this year represents the construction of my true foundation. Another prayer answered: @megburgdorf. She and Anna have been my dynamic duo. Thank you for listening to me, teaching me, and staying patient. Thank you @loiolavb for teaching me as well, and for being such a positive spirit and energy. Thank you Mark Paaluhi for leading the best sand conditioning sessions, and for being a valuable resource and friend (@digaurora too). Thank you @chartford10 for helping me with a training program throughout the year. Thank you @gadodel and Laurie for providing a consistent and safe environment to practice.
