In light of the postponement of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, we interviewed @TeamUSA athletes about how they were using their newfound downtime ahead of the games.
Olympic Gold Medalist and Swimmer, @ネイサン・エイドリアン decided to use the time for healing and recovery:
"I'm gonna use this extra time to recover a little bit more from the surgeries I had to deal with cancer," Adrian said. "I'll have even more time to get stronger, get faster — and be even better as I come back."
His fellow teammate, Track & Field Paralympian Roderick Townsend (@TheJumpAddict) found the silver lining amid times of crisis.
"When I realized that the Games were going to be postponed, I mean, it was kind of a weight off my shoulders,” admits Townsend. “With all the travel and training and everything, it was just nice to be able to have some time to be a normal person for a little bit.”
To further support #TeamUSA, we're launching a special One Year Out Collection for the whole family that benefits US Olympic and Paralympic Athletes as they focus on their pursuit of excellence and continue training. 25% of the purchase price of each item sold from the collection will be donated to the Team USA Fund.
