U.S Army Specialist Vanessa Guillén, 20 years old, was last seen almost three months ago, which is, April 22 of 2020, that same day her life was taken away the most horrible-gruesome way while working in the arms room. This happen on Fort Hood Army Base, on a military base, how did no one saw or heard anything in plain daylight, a surrounded area with arms building, barracks room, and parking lot. Her leadership and people in her unit need to be questioned. Vanessa’s case needs to be taken seriously, it took two months to gain answers that are still not factual. It is a disgrace how Fort Hood lacks of responsibility, safety, and respect to its soldiers. Soldiers in active duty should feel safe, should be respected mentally, physically, sexually and the command needs to take responsibility. Vanessa Guillén was being sexual harassed various times, yet even if she would’ve reported the sexual allegations, her case would not been taken seriously, pure example, check out the #iamvanessaguillen ! It is disgusting how the U.S Army tolerates sexual harassment, assault, abuse, and rape.
