He or she just stared at me for a moment when a passing man with his dog came by and the dog barreled into the pond with the baby moose. The dog and the moose sort of glanced at each other and then ignored each other as the dog frolicked. After the soaking wet dog streaked up and past me, the baby moose stared at me again (he or she seemed more interested in people than dogs apparently), and then ambled away. I curled around the corner and saw him near his momma now, but continuing to check me out. As I walked away, I got teary-eyed, feeling so incredibly fortunate to have shared that moment with that little moose. I felt hope.
