THROWBACK THURSDAY: The Bantam/Bantam Mag. was introduced around 1985, a “workhorse” level wind reel with both magnetic and non-magnetic versions. The 700 non-level-wind version was only in the lineup for a short time. The Bantam 50 (BM50) was popular amongst musky and striped bass anglers for years. A simple design combined with durable parts earned this reel a dependable reputation for many years. It served well casting or trolling large lures, or fishing live baits with the clicker feature. This reel was born from the original Shimano Bantam 100 design. #FishShimano #TBT
