So I looked through my camera roll to see what was a year ago... This photo was taken last year heading into the World Champs. Feeling the usual excitement and nerves, and putting a smile on my face and giving my best through the unknown. (I believe the following day I needed an urgent and unexpected root canal on one of my teeth! 😅🙈) But it seems fitting to find this photo. Dealing with the unknown of how things will go by putting a smile on my face and using the excitement and nerves to be the best I can be in that moment. It makes me smile even though I feel sad that the World isn't getting to celebrate the opening of the Olympics tonight.
