Astrophotographer @babaktafreshi went out and shot new exciting footage with the EOS Ra camera. "A celestial visitor setting at dusk over a lake in New Hampshire. Comet NEOWISE, the brightest comet in years, is still remarkable in the long-exposure photos under dark skies, although visually it's fainter to naked eyes. On this July 12th evening I used the Canon EOS Ra with the RF 50mm F1.2 L USM for a timelapse sequence of 300 shots, each 6-second exposure at ISO 3200.

The comet is visible in most of the northern hemisphere, 1-2 hours after sunset over Northwest. If you are above latitude 50 degrees, the later after sunset, the better as it takes much longer for the sky to get dark. Near 55-60 degrees in Canada & Europe for example, try near midnight over northern horizon for darkest hours. In low latitudes near the tropics, the sky becomes darker quicker after sunset, so even an hour after the sunset is enough. The comet begins its display in the Southern Hemisphere from July 23/24th."
