ミシェル・モナハンさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ミシェル・モナハンInstagram)「The Mothers of the Movement, an ever-growing list of women including Gwen Carr, Sybrina Fulton, Maria Hamilton, Lucy McBath, Lesley McSpadden, Cleopatra Cowley-Pendleton, Annette Nance-Holt, Wanda Johnson and Geneva Reed-Veal, are a group of Black mothers whose children Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin, Dontré Hamilton, Jordan Davis, Michael Brown, Hadiya Pendleton, Blair Holt, Oscar Grant, and Sandra Bland were murdered as a result of racial injustice and gun violence. This group of powerful women have been a strong voice and their demand for justice against police brutality and systematic racial inequality was a catalyst for the #BlackLivesMatter movement. This along with the death of George Floyd was the inspiration for “The Wall of Moms”, a group of White women who utilize their privilege by putting themselves on the frontlines of the protests in Portland, Oregon to guard the protesters from the militarized federal agents that have been deployed to control crowds and protect monuments. All of these powerful and impactful ladies are my #WCW this week and I thank you for the work you are doing to help propel the movement forward.
