One day at a party I was giving @hilhavenlodge Courtney asked me if she could borrow a pen and paper. I didn’t see her for hours and at the end of the night after everyone left I found Courtney in my bedroom on the floor writing a song! She asked if I wanted to hear it that she was almost done. She said she couldn’t deal with all the posers and sycophants and got inspired and decided to write. When I asked her what it was about she said YOU! Courtney never pulls any punches and always speaks her mind. I didn’t believe her but I was still very flattered except when I heard the title I thought maybe I shouldn’t be? It’s called STAND UP MOTHERF___ER! Was I the MotherF___er? The song was brilliant and deep and a I thought a little angry but Courtney also screams all her lyrics so i could of been wrong but it was also so emotional and insightful..... but also an incredible expression and observation of my world at that time. Courtney really is a genius and one of the smartest people I ever met! She is an artist, a tough girl with a soft heart, an entertainer, a Star in her own right, and a woman who brings out the best in others and an all around beautiful spirit. She is my kindred spirit.
