@paulsimonofficial has this ability to write these verses that slither and meander into a powerhouse chorus. I am so in awe of this that I tried to imitate it on Big Parade. In this song, the thing that I think is also genius, alongside the incredible melodies, is the drumming. Notice how the verses lull you into an almost sad and melancholic state and then the choruses are cut-time, and make you feel like you’re rushing back to the safe and happy home you’re craving. - @wesleyschultz
