We had a very small window to get to the airport as most people do when flying, so we checked Google Maps just to make sure that there really was an accident. No accident at all. Or any traffic for that matter. We had to kindly ask him if he could go the normal route because we did not want to miss our flight. He reluctantly turned around and proceeded to blame us for checking the map to make sure there really wasn’t an accident. He also tried to convince us that the 15-mile-off-route suggestion would be faster. Perhaps because I’m Asian, he assumed that I was not from here... it’s just one of the things we go through on a daily basis. I grew up in LA & if it weren’t for the pandemic, I fly at least a few times a month. I think I might know how to get to the airport and so does Google Maps... Then, he drove like a mad man because he was irritated that we caught him lying and knew he was being shady. It’s okay though. We made it. We are so thankful for ride share apps in general, and glad that we even have the opportunity to use them.
