I was really healthy (blood pressure, blood sugar, etc) but I retained soooo much water. I will be 10 weeks postpartum this Friday, and I’ve lost around 45 lbs. Majority of it being water 😅 I haven’t really done much exercise other than going for walks with the family, but breastfeeding has made me sweat A TON and I drink soooo much water. I’ve also been eating really healthy due to my stomach issues (if you watch my stories you’ll know). Balancing getting a lot of calories in for my milk supply and also dealing with what I thought was IBS was nooooo fun. But I’m feeling SO MUCH better now and have only a few more test results to wait on! Pregnancy is a journey. Postpartum is a journey. And everyone is on their own path. DO NOT compare yours with anyone else’s. My mom always told me “it took 9 months to gain the weight and 9 months to lose it.” So just take it easy, spend time with your family, and don’t stress about getting back to your pre pregnancy body because you just went through something so beautiful!
