The Register Office have helped to rearrange over 100 marriages 💒 and are now working hard to catch up on the backlog of over 900 babies 🍼, whose births are yet to be registered. Supported by a network of volunteers, the Council’s Live Well Hub helps isolated residents in the community. Over 8000 welfare telephone calls have been made and Her Royal Highness today packed the hub’s 1000th food parcel, which will be sent to a vulnerable resident with no family support. ➡️ Earlier at Swindon Fire Station, The Duchess met key workers including @dwfirerescue firefighters, staff from Great Western Hospital and @swas_ft paramedics.👨‍🚒🏥🚑 The fire service has maintained its prevention, protection and emergency response arrangements during the pandemic, and adapted to relieve the pressures on others. During the visit, HRH had the chance to see some of the emergency response vehicles that have been used throughout the pandemic. 🚒 Firefighters, who are trained to drive these vehicles and carry out first aid, have been playing a vital role in relieving pressure on the South Western Ambulance Service by driving ambulances alongside a clinician or paramedic.
