I love America 🇺🇸 and I fought very hard to become an American. I am very thankful to live in such a beautiful place (LA) ❤️ but being proud to be American, to me, means wanting this nation to be the best it can be. That being the country of FREEDOM means that it needs to be free for all of its citizens. It also means understanding that many of our holidays are very flawed. This includes the 4th of July. In 1776 when American declared its self free and independent, we still had slaves. All our beautiful citizens were not actually free. It’s also important to understand that we are all immigrants, we stole this land from the indigenous people that were here before EVERYONE. We must recognize our past and work on actually making America the greatest country in the world. Instead of just trying to yell it the loudest❤️ This starts with every individual 🇺🇸 #proudamerican #letsdobetter #4thofjuly
