1934. Towards the end of the Taisho period, women were exploring and defining the idea of beauty in Japan. Pictured here are 2 ladies- one in traditional kimono, the other in a fashionable outfit. These “Modern Girls,” turned heads, enjoying the spotlight and attention. It was also the same year when we started beauty counseling with the introduction of “Miss SHISEIDO”.
