Social media felt like/feels like a way to have our own independent careers and to spread information we care about, to ‘have influence’, it feels like an important tool it would be hard to give up. We need platforms and a way to spread information that isn’t helping Mark help Donald Trump. Mark Z has mined your data, allowed the data to be used to spread fake news and initially get trump into power. He has named Breitbart news as a trusted news source, he turns a blind eye to voter suppression. His actions continue to help Donald Trump. Are there other options for us? We shouldn’t be backed into this shit corner where our only option is not having a voice or having one whilst helping evil men stay in power.
