Co-produced by the @alvaraaltofoundation and @mfa_arkkitehtuurimuseo the exhibition “The Cultivated Landscape of Alvar Aalto“ at the Alvar Aalto Museum Gallery in Jyväskylä highlights the influence of landscape and nature on buildings and vice versa. As Alvar Aalto (pictured here at his “experimental house”) said: “As for the Finnish landscape, I have always been immersed in it. When I began to appreciate the balance and harmony it exudes, I also began to understand how we humans should treat our natural surroundings.” The exhibition runs until October 25, 2020.
