アッシャー・ヒルさんのインスタグラム写真 - (アッシャー・ヒルInstagram)「Last year I attended World Pride in New York, it was significant because it was 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Inn riots. I actually never got the chance to go to Stonewall Inn while I was there, but it was because I didn't want to go after an incident that took place during the weekend. . June 30th during a drag show at Stonewall a Black Trans woman interrupted the show to speak about the epidemic of Black Trans murders, unemployment, and the much higher HIV/AIDS rate for Black Trans women in America. She was met by boos and jeers from a predominantly white gay male audience. . Imagine being on the "hallowed" ground where a monumental movement was started by Black and Latino Trans women so you could be comfortable in your identity and booing a Trans Woman asking you to not forget them and fight for their lives. . The erasure of Trans people and their contribution in our community started almost immediately after Pride became a thing. In fact, 4 years after Stonewall Drag Queen/Trans people were banned from the event! We still have this unecessary tenuous relationship with them; we've internalized transphobia and perpetuate it in our own community. If our Trans sisters and brothers can't even look to their own community for safety, advocacy, and love. Where can they go!? I know I'm not perfect and I am still learning about the privileges I have over trans people and will continue to do so but, that incident is something I will never forget. I promise to use my power and privilege to fight for #transrights! . Thank you Marsha P Johnson, Sylvia Riveria, and countless other trans women and men who have fought and continue to fight for yourselves and us even though we haven't fought hard enough for you. . #marshapjohnson #sylviariveria #trans #allblacklivesmatter #translivesmatter #transrightsarehumanrights #transisbeautiful #pride2020 #enoughisenough」7月1日 6時43分 - asherkwacie
