I saw black jurors get dismissed just for being black in front of that flag. I fought against wrongful charges and selective prosecutions in front of that flag. And I know my good friends in MS have done the same far more often than I have. For more than a century that was the cost of business - fighting for justice in front of a flag that was a constant reminder of the cult of the lost cause. Yesterday the MS state house and senate cleared the way for a vote today to remove the confederate symbol from its state flag.
