My friend @butchwalker sent me this clip tonight that his friend Harley Ellis took at a peaceful protest in Aurora, CO for Elijah McClain. Elijah used to play violin for cats at the shelter. Now, here, Ashanti Floyd, the “mad violinist” plays in his honor. I wish Elijah could have been alive to hear it. I wish for all of us to treat each other like we are each other’s kids. The only way out of anger and heartbreak is love. There has to be a better way. The current way isn’t working for anyone. Let’s be human again. #fuckracism #blacklivesmatter
