I’m learning failure, humility, ego management, patience, surrender to the elements; also the joy of experimentation, the fulfillment of hard-earned success, the childlike wonder that accompanies the mysteries of science, the relief of knowing the outcome does not diminish the value of the effort or define my potential. That’s right kids, I’m baking bread.
Second picture is a sourdough “failure” where I learned about playing with heritage grains, hydration, and that my proofing basket was way too large. I ate it anyway because it’s still bread and it still accepted the creamy salted butter I offered it 🍞🧈💛
