I got some weird little toilet paper rolls that I ordered from who knows where at the beginning of the pandemic. I’ve been putting them into a neighbor’s lending library, and replacing each time one is taken. I walk by every day and get a real thrill each time I see that it’s gone, happy to have made a small gesture of kindness during dark times.
But it occurs to me that maybe my neighbor is creeped out and is removing them himself.
