Messages coming in from many of my previous team mates who have all been through so much and can all relate to certain parts of the documentary. I absolutely LOVE this sport. It has taught me so many incredible life lessons and I think it’s one of the most beautiful sports in the world. It can also be one of the most brutal sports in the world but it DOESN’T have to be and I can confidently say elite gymnastics IS changing. The gymnastics culture is changing for the better and I think every coach should watch this documentary to see what damage can be done, mentally, physically and emotionally when you don’t treat athletes like human beings. Communication is 🔑 You can produce champion athletes the right way. Learning & loving this incredible sport together in safe and healthy environments !! I have been an elite gymnast for almost 20 years of my life. I have lived both sides of this sport. I can absolutely say I am happy now and am extremely grateful I have stayed in the sport long enough to use my voice and contribute to this change. It certainly hasn’t been easy, saying no sometimes comes with consequences but I have and will continue to do so to keep fighting for the future generations of gymnasts. My heart goes out to all the survivors of Larry Nassar.
