How are you? I‘ve felt pretty agitated today. In the UK our lockdown measures are being reduced more soon but honestly a lot of the can do/can’t do makes very little sense to me and it’s left me feeling a little confused and a lot fed up. I feel more stressed about getting out of lockdown than I have at many other points.
I’ve seen other people writing about this too, about how as we start to move out of this odd time and back to “normal” things are feeling scary. The video catch ups and zoom parties and thinking-of-you texts have started to taper off a bit as we prepare mentally, tentatively, do some things in person. I think for me it’s a combination of not wanting all the “normal” back and also the fact that it feels like a false, watered down version of normal.
There isn’t a solid conclusion to this but thought I’d share in case anyone else is wobbling the same way. As we head out of lockdown we should be careful to keep the culture of sharing our feelings and checking in on each other that we fostered at the beginning of this. So yeah... how are you?
