(245 years late) And 2 years AFTER freedom was law. AND there's still so much work to be done for social & racial justice. But I believe in us. And for all it's absolute heartbreak, 2020 is helping us move closer to the goal (& fundamental truth) of racial equity. I didn't learn about #Juneteenth in school. Did you get to? Let's make sure all the kids from here on out do. And let's help make this Independence Day a national holiday- for all the things we celebrate as a nation, we should proudly put the abolition of slavery at the top of the list.
