The only thing they teach us is about Lincoln and the Emancipation Proclamation. Well we weren't totally free for another 2.5 years after that and never got our promised 40 acres and a mule. June 19th is our Freedom Day. Our Independence Day! ✊🏾 . But don't forget that this is NOT the beginning of Black history. We did not begin as slaves. We had a long and rich history in Africa beforehand.
